Our Maytag Products
Founded in 1893 by F.L. Maytag in Newton, Iowa, Maytag began as a farm implement company. Throughout the
twentieth century and into the twenty-first, Maytag evolved into a major appliance enterprise and acquired
several other companies including Jenn-Air (1982) and Amana (2001). In 1986, Maytag became the Maytag
Corporation. In 1997, Maytag became an Energy Star manufacturing partner. In 2002, NORDYNE licensed the right
to market HVAC equipment under the Maytag name, including Maytag heat pumps, furnaces and central air
